The infrared thermometers of the optris CSlaser/CTlaser series consist of an innovative double laser sighting, in contrast to many IR thermometers with single lasers which only mark the center of the spot. The two laser beams follow the infrared optical path to mark the position of the measuring field at any distance. At the focus point both lasers are crossing – this greatly supports an exact alignment and reduces measurement errors. The infrared thermometers of this class are mainly used in industrial areas as well as in research and development. Small measurement field sizes are of great importance for precise temperature measurement. A number of different focus versions allow a flexible adjustment for the different applications.
The CS Laser and CT Laser infrared pyrometers redefine precision and reliability in non-contact temperature measurement across various industries. The CS Laser and CT Laser series have extensive industrial applications, providing crucial temperature monitoring solutions.
These pyrometers are ideal for fixed-installed or fixed-mounted applications, ensuring consistent and accurate measurements. The non-contact nature of these infrared sensors makes them perfect for processes where direct contact is not feasible. Industries benefiting from Optris' expertise include temperature monitoring in the casting process, where the ability to measure high metal temperatures is essential. The CS and CT Laser series also find applications in the glass industry, ensuring precise surface temperature measurements. Moreover, these pyrometers cater to processes requiring fast temperature surveillance, showcasing their adaptability in dynamic industrial environments.
The CSlaser is a compact single-piece unit with impressive features, making it a go-to choice for temperature monitoring in diverse industrial applications. These infrared pyrometers offer precise focusing and non-contact temperature measurement, ensuring accurate readings in challenging environments. The CS Laser series excels in low- and high-temperature measurements, targeting spots as small as 0.9 mm. A CT Laser pyrometer features a two-piece design. Here, a separate electronics box offers advanced signal processing flexibility with a wide range of analog and digital outputs, including 0/4 – 20 mA, 0 – 5 V, 0 – 10 V, USB, Ethernet, RS485, RS232 interface, relay outputs (2 x optically isolated), Profibus DP, Modbus TCP, ProfiNet, and EthernetIP. This versatility allows seamless integration into various industrial processes and monitoring systems.
The separation of the sensing head and electronics allows for an additional superior ambient temperature rating and a smaller design of the sensing head. One standout feature of both pyrometers is their double laser aiming marks, which indicate the real spot location and provide valuable information about the spot size. This ensures operators clearly understand the measurement area, contributing to enhanced accuracy in temperature monitoring. The CS/CT Laser series takes temperature measurement to the next level with its exceptional optical resolution, reaching up to 300:1 with selectable focus.
This high-resolution capability ensures precise and reliable data, even in challenging conditions. The CT Laser series also includes an explosion-proof version (CTex), making it suitable for hazardous environments. Optris' CS Laser and CT Laser series benchmarked non-contact temperature measurement technology. With features for thermal sensors like precise focusing, double laser aiming marks, and a wide range of outputs, these infrared pyrometers offer unparalleled accuracy and versatility.
Whether in industrial processes, casting applications, or the glass industry, Optris provides reliable solutions for temperature monitoring and touchless temperature measurement.
Our experienced application engineers ensure competent and reliable customer service in the field. In addition, Optris works closely with numerous distribution partners worldwide.
